    • Sam–Sadly, the political grind seems to go on and on without much seasonality or gaiety. Interestingly, national business was, once upon a time, much more skimpy, and the pace at the capital correspondingly more leisurely. In fact, there was an abnormal amount of partying! This is what the 19th-century capital was known for. Thank you for your comment–SB

    Amid all the media bluster, we tend to forget that we all stand on the shoulders of those who came before us and that we all need each other for mutual success. Could the system we have developed be better, more fair, more just? Certainly! But that is why we all need to keep talking, working, and stoking that fire.
